Stranger Things 5: David Harbour Says Reading the Finale Episode Left Everyone in Tears

Stranger Things 5

Stranger Things 5 wraps up its story, and fans have prepared themselves for how the show will end. Recently, the actor who plays Jim Hopper, David Harbour, revealed that the final season of the show left a large emotional impact on the cast. According to Harbour, during the table read of the final episode, “Everyone was just sobbing.”

Harbour’s words tell that this final episode will be something truly special. He said, “It’s the best episode they’ve ever done,” which hints how the story of Hawkins and its characters will come to a powerful close. He further said that the finale does go deep into the emotional journeys of characters fans have followed since the beginning without giving spoilers.

Coming Home to the Heart of Hawkins: Stranger Things 5

Stranger Things first hit the theaters in 2016. This show captured the eyes and hearts of many audience members by striking the perfect balance between spooky supernatural elements, fun vibes from the 1980s, and friendship and bravery themes. Actor David Harbour says that the Stranger Things 5 will be similar to going back to the early days of the show, but only action and higher stakes. The fans are going to relive some of the favorite places and moments from season one but this time, deeper and more intense.

“We were all in tears,” Harbour said recently, recalling how emotional it was when the cast read the final script. “They’ve created something truly unforgettable.”

Big Challenges, Old Friends, and a Final Showdown with Vecna

Indeed, during the previous seasons, we have already seen some of the most frightening monsters the characters were trying to battle with. Next, they would be facing their biggest nightmare- Vecna. From the last season, we learned about the history of Vecna: he used to be a human known as Henry Creel, who transformed into the monstrous creature in the Upside Down. According to Duffer Brothers, the co-creators of the series, this should be the most extreme test as the characters face off with themselves.

All the characters, from Eleven to Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, will return to Hawkins to face Vecna. For all the viewers who have watched for so long, Stranger Things 5 is going to be really emotional and powerful as the story of each character finally comes to an end.

Stranger Things has reached that point now where it is no longer just a program-it’s huge pop culture at this point. It influences fashion, music, even video games. Now, as David Harbour had described the Stranger Things 5 in terms of emotions, this should be a really beautiful goodbye to everything that the show represents.

The Hawkins story and its characters will probably be concluded with Stranger Things Season 5, but the Duffer Brothers don’t really seem to be against further projects related to Stranger Things anytime soon. But they seem focused on getting the end right for now, though.

With fans eagerly awaiting the final season, Harbour’s words call to mind that this is more than a show wrapping up; this is a bittersweet goodbye to a cherished chapter for both the cast and the fans. He even said this last season “was the best thing they’ve ever done.” As Stranger Things winds up, fans can expect a memorable ending, with plenty of emotions and nostalgia.

Goodbye, but the impact of Stranger Things will not fade away with the last episode.
