\Love and War – Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to register another record at the box office with his upcoming film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. The director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is prepping up to begin the production this week with Ranbir Kapoor. Well, according to the reports, the duo is set to start shooting for the project on 7 November 2024 in Mumbai’s Film City. Moreover, the set is designed keeping in mind the vintage Bhansali touch, for which he is known and celebrated, therefore, to keep it a secret, very limited people are allowed to witness the early stage of production.
Bhansali is Kickstarting the Production this Week
According to the reports, the shooting for Love and War epic saga is scheduled to begin on 7 November 2024, along with the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Ranbir Kapoor. Preparation for Love and War has already begun as construction of the sets is started ahead of the shooting schedule. Further, Ranbir Kapoor will start shooting his solo scenes for two weeks before Vicky Kausha joins him. Moreover, Alia Bhatt might join the cast after finishing up her ongoing ‘Alpha’ in early December.
Shooting will take place in different locations in India from November 2024 to October 2025. Additionally, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal had promised more than 200 days of shooting whereas, Ranbir is still working with the hope of getting the completion done by mid-2025 due to his commitments to other big movies like, ‘Ramayana: Part 2’, ‘Dhoom 4’ and ‘Animal Park’.

Details about Love and War have been kept under wraps; however, it is an epic romance set against war, which brings Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal together on screen for an intense, ambitious narrative. The unit has kept the set largely out of bounds, where only a few people close to the team are seen to get a glimpse into the initial stages of its production. An insider tells us that Bhansali will soon come out with a teaser poster with the star triad, thus giving fans an initial feel of the film’s visuals.
Love and War: Release Date & Details About Project
‘Love And War’ will be an epic tale that blends romance and action with Bhansali’s grand storytelling. Now, the film has its release date confirmed to March 20, 2026; a strategic move to coincide with festivals such as Ramzan and Gudi Padwa which should give it a great outing at the box office. This is the first film for Ranbir Kapoor and Bhansali after the actor’s debut with Saawariya way back in 2007. Alia Bhatt has already been a part of Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, while Vicky Kaushal is being directed by Bhansali for the first time.
