Amaran, a long-awaited Tamil-language film is now set to release with Diwali. The biography of AC awardee Major Mukund Varadarajran, played by Sivakarthikeyan, forms the basis of the film. It is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, with Kamal Haasan as the producer.
Amaran Release Date
Amaran is set to release in theatres alongside Diwali on October 31, 2024. Amaran will be Sivakarthikeyan’s first biopic in his career and will clash with Kavin-starrer Bloody Beggar at the box office.
The movie’s tentative title, Sivakarthikeyan 21, was first revealed in 2022. The official title was announced in February 2024. A business venture by Raajkamal Films International, Sony Pictures Films India, Turmeric Media, and God Bless Entertainment.

Official Trailer Release
The movie’s trailer is yet to be released. However, the teaser was released earlier, making people gaga over Sivakarthikeyan’s massive transformation. Another teaser with Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese was also unveiled. As per the teaser, the film shows efforts made by Major Mukund Varadarajran and his team in fighting terrorism in Kashmir and his struggles in his personal life.
After its theatrical release, the movie will see OTT release on Netflix.
