It is a ’90s-based thriller whose trailer gives a peek into the spy thriller. However, according to the trailer, the spies get thrown into the world of action, spying, and betrayal after stuntman Bunny recruits Honey, a struggling actress for a side gig. Citadel stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, respectively, as agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, Citadel agents. During this process, he discovers a new organization led by Dahlia, known as Manticore, and he suffers a bad accident. Eight years on, he is living under an assumed identity as Kyle Conroy, his memory gone, until an old colleague meets once more.
The first season, which is six episodes long, has cost US$ 300 million to produce, placing it in the list of the most expensive television shows ever made. It premiered on April 28, 2023, with its first two episodes. In March 2023, it was renewed for a second season, and Joe Russo announced he would direct all the episodes in the season.
