On 16 October 2024, in Mumbai’s Famous Studios, Nikita Porwal was crowned Femina Miss India 2024 Winner, marking the 60th edition of the beauty pageant. The judges were won over by the presence and radiant smile of the 18-year-old girl, earning her the converted crown passed on by last year’s titleholder, Nandini Gupta. Moreover, Neha Dhupia added a touch of nostalgia as the Miss India sash was gracefully placed on the beauty pageant winner.
Who is Nikita Porwal?
Born and raised in Ujjain, a city steeped in spiritual heritage, the Femina Miss India 2024 Winner, Nikita credited her upbringing for shaping her curious mind and critical thinking. Her schooling was completed at Carmel Covent Senior Secondary School before higher education was pursued at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. While still very young, she has dabbled into acting with over 60 plays, including a 250-page self-authored production called ‘Krishna Leela.’
While Nikita’s aspiration is much bigger than the stage, the young actress aspires to work with the great director Sanjay Leela Bhansali one day. The Femina Miss India 2024 winner, Nikita is focused on perfecting her craft; in fact, she has already attracted much acclaim with her performance in the film Chambal Paar, which won several awards at different International film festivals.
